Child Center of Pennsylvania Honors Brian Houchins with Community Recognition Award

The Child Center of Pennsylvania is proud to announce Brian Houchins of Mechanicsburg because the recipient of the 2023 Community Recognition Award. This prestigious award is offered yearly to a person who has demonstrated distinctive dedication to bettering the lives of youngsters in our group.
Brian Houchins, a devoted elementary college instructor and community volunteer, has been an unwavering advocate for children’s education and welfare. Over the past ten years, his efforts have significantly impacted the lives of numerous children in Mechanicsburg and surrounding areas. Houchins’ initiatives embrace establishing a free after-school tutoring program for underprivileged college students, weekend workshops specializing in literacy and numeracy skills for at-risk youth, and main a successful community-driven campaign to improve local playgrounds, making certain protected and inclusive play spaces for all children.
