Child Center of Pennsylvania Honors Brian Houchins with Community Recognition Award
Mechanicsburg, PA – December 21, 2023
The Child Center of Pennsylvania is proud to announce Brian Houchins of Mechanicsburg as the recipient of the 2023 Community Recognition Award. This prestigious award is presented yearly to an individual who has demonstrated distinctive dedication to improving the lives of children in our group.
Brian Houchins , a devoted elementary college trainer and community volunteer, has been an unwavering advocate for children’s education and welfare. Over the previous ten years, his efforts have considerably impacted the lives of numerous children in Mechanicsburg and surrounding areas. Houchins’ initiatives embody establishing a free after-school tutoring program for underprivileged college students, weekend workshops specializing in literacy and numeracy abilities for at-risk youth, and leading a profitable community-driven campaign to improve local playgrounds, ensuring secure and inclusive play areas for all kids.
The award ceremony might be held on January 15, 2024, at the Mechanicsburg Community Center. The occasion will function speeches from local dignitaries, a presentation about Houchins’ contributions, and the award presentation.
