Child Center of Pennsylvania Honors Brian Houchins with Community Recognition Award
Mechanicsburg, PA – December 21, 2023
The Child Center of Pennsylvania is proud to announce Brian Houchins of Mechanicsburg because the recipient of the 2023 Community Recognition Award. This prestigious award is presented annually to an individual who has demonstrated distinctive dedication to bettering the lives of youngsters in our neighborhood.
Brian Houchins , a dedicated elementary faculty teacher and neighborhood volunteer, has been an unwavering advocate for children’s schooling and welfare. Over the previous ten years, his efforts have considerably impacted the lives of countless children in Mechanicsburg and surrounding areas. Houchins’ initiatives embrace establishing a free after-school tutoring program for underprivileged students, weekend workshops specializing in literacy and numeracy expertise for at-risk youth, and main a successful community-driven campaign to improve native playgrounds, guaranteeing protected and inclusive play spaces for all youngsters.
The award ceremony shall be held on January 15, 2024, at the Mechanicsburg Community Center. The event will feature speeches from local dignitaries, a presentation about Houchins’ contributions, and the award presentation.
