Child Center of Pennsylvania Honors Brian Houchins with Community Recognition Award

The Child Center of Pennsylvania is proud to announce Brian Houchins of Mechanicsburg because the recipient of the 2023 Community Recognition Award. This prestigious award is introduced annually to an individual who has demonstrated exceptional dedication to enhancing the lives of children in our group.
Brian Houchins , a devoted elementary school instructor and neighborhood volunteer, has been an unwavering advocate for children’s schooling and welfare. Over the previous ten years, his efforts have considerably impacted the lives of numerous children in Mechanicsburg and surrounding areas. Houchins’ initiatives embrace establishing a free after-school tutoring program for underprivileged students, weekend workshops focusing on literacy and numeracy skills for at-risk youth, and leading a profitable community-driven marketing campaign to upgrade native playgrounds, making certain secure and inclusive play areas for all youngsters.
The award ceremony shall be held on January 15, 2024, on the Mechanicsburg Community Center. The occasion will function speeches from native dignitaries, a presentation about Houchins’ contributions, and the award presentation.
