Child Center of Pennsylvania Honors Brian Houchins with Community Recognition Award

The Child Center of Pennsylvania is proud to announce Brian Houchins of Mechanicsburg because the recipient of the 2023 Community Recognition Award. Brian Houchins, a dedicated elementary faculty instructor and neighborhood volunteer, has been an unwavering advocate for children’s training and welfare. Over the previous ten years, his efforts have significantly impacted the lives of numerous youngsters in Mechanicsburg and surrounding areas. Houchins’ initiatives embody establishing a free after-school tutoring program for underprivileged college students, weekend workshops specializing in literacy and numeracy skills for at-risk youth, and leading a successful community-driven marketing campaign to upgrade native playgrounds, making certain secure and inclusive play areas for all children.
